Funko showed off the Star Wars Bitty Pop! line at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023. These are small versions of Funko’s famous Star Wars Pops. The first wave of Star Wars Bitty Pop! figures, which will come out this summer, is based on the movie that started it all, Star Wars: A New Hope. It has Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Darth Vader, and other characters.
Funko will sell four four-packs of these mini-wonders, three of which will focus on the light side and one on the dark. Each four-pack will complete the series with one rare or ultra-rare mystery, Bitty Pop. Every Bitty Pop! comes in a small package protected by an acrylic case. The figures, only about 0.9 inches tall, can be taken out to play with and show off. But this isn’t the only cool thing coming from Funko.
This week, Funko Games announced that Star Wars Rivals, a new head-to-head dueling game coming out in late spring 2023, will be at Star Wars Celebration. In Star Wars Rivals, players choose characters from the light or dark sides and put them in a squadron. They then battle for strategic control of famous places from the Star Wars universe.
Heroes and villains are represented by character-themed game movers that look like animations, and each character has three action cards with special abilities. In addition, Funko will make a Premier Set and Character Booster Packs, allowing the game to be played in more ways.
At Star Wars Celebration, Loungefly, a lifestyle accessories brand owned by Funko, showed off a new crossbody bag with Darth Vader. The clever design is based on the famous helmet of the Sith Lord, and the inside is covered with pictures of Darth Vader and the Empire’s vertical lighting—a very cool item for people who like the dark side.
