Stepping into the limelight with the collaboration of Stone Island, the New Balance 991v2 has swiftly gained global attention. Its updated yet familiar design has made it a standout model, with the newly surfaced navy version signaling its readiness to meet the growing demand.
New Balance 991v2 “Navy” Colorway:
In its debut release, the sneaker paid homage to the original New Balance 991 of 2001 with a grayscale palette. Produced in Flimby, Cumbria, United Kingdom, the sneaker marks a milestone as the first independently designed and built pair from the 990 series in the UK.
While visually reminiscent of the 22-year-old NB 991, the upper overlays feature a unique layout. Premium materials, including FuelCell cushioning, characterize this overseas flagship design.
The notable evolution comes in the sole unit, introducing visible ABZORB foam at the forefoot and rear foot. The two-of-the-line cushioning maintains its signature blue hue, complementing the deep navy upper.
Although a firm launch date is yet to be disclosed, the $250-priced shoe is poised to make waves before 2023 ends. Stay tuned for the imminent unveiling of this remarkable addition to the New Balance legacy.
