To give Guardians of the Galaxy fans something to look forward to before the release of the eagerly anticipated third installment on May 5, Funko Pop has joined the trend. A new member rises to the top with a recently released Groot with Wings mini-figure, taking off for his next mission to land on every fan’s shelf while Baby Rocket, Adam Warlock, and Cosmo receive the Pop treatment. The new line is now for sale on the official Funko Pop website for a suggested retail price of $15. The upcoming release is undoubtedly bittersweet for fans because Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be the final film to feature the space-faring Guardians.
However, toy and collectible manufacturers have more than made up for the “bitter” part by giving fans a variety of “sweet” treats, including Hasbro’s new line of Guardians action figures and toys, Funko Pop’s miniature versions of Adam Warlock and Cosmo, and the eye-catching Blacklight Guard.
With just a few weeks until Guardians of the Galaxy hits theaters, Funko Pop has added the Groot with Wings Pop figure to their new galactic collections, joining Star-Lord, Rocket, Nebula, Kraglin, Drax, and Mantis. The Flora Colossus space hero is depicted in the new figure, about 4.85 inches tall, with growing stems and dendrons’ wooden wings.
