Hey, did you know that in June 2023, it’s Pride Month, and the Star Wars Funko Pop gets a makeover to celebrate it? I just found out that Funko has released new Star Wars Pop figures that showcase the efforts of the It Gets Better Project. This organization aims to support and connect LGBTQ+ youth worldwide. R2-D2 and BB-8 are getting a colorful makeover this year.

You can pre-order them now! Also, Funko is donating $65 from the sales of each Loungefly BB-8 backpack and Funko Pop bundle (limited edition of 4000 pieces) to the It Gets Better Project. This is part of their Pops With Purpose program. What’s great about this is that the bundle comes with a mini backpack and a sparkly Diamond Collection version of the Pride BB-8 Funko Pop. If you opt for the individual Funko Pops, Amazon currently lists the release date as December 31st, a standard placeholder date. It will likely be shipped in June.

Funko has collaborated with the It Gets Better Project on Pride Pop releases for a few years. I recently came across their original statement about the partnership, which still holds today. The Funko Pride Pop is all about celebrating inclusivity and acceptance. Funko is a company that stands with the LGBTQ+ community. They strongly oppose any form of intolerance and discrimination.

Funko believes that fun is for everyone! Also, I want to share that Funko donated to the It Gets Better Project. It’s an organization that supports LGBTQ+ youth worldwide. Hey, have you heard of the It Gets Better Project? This amazing initiative encourages people to share their stories and offer hope to the next generation of LGBTQ+ youth. They remind them that things may be tough now, but they will eventually get better!
