Do you have so many Funko Pops that you don’t have enough space to show them all? So how do you preserve Funko Pops?
This post should help you determine the best way to store and preserve your Funko Pops.
How Do You Preserve Funko Pops?
There are a few ways you can preserve your Funko Pops.
One of the most popular options is to purchase storage containers specifically designed for this purpose.
You can find these online or at any store that sells collectibles and toys.
Another option is simply storing them in their original packaging, which should be sufficient if you’re not planning on taking them out very often.
If you want more protection from dust and other elements, sleeves are available online and at brick-and-mortar stores selling Funko products.
Storage Containers You Can Buy to Preserve Your Funko Pops:
This is one of the most important things you can do when deciding how to store Funko Pops.
You want something to protect your collectibles, keep out dust and dirt, and block light.
It should also fit in the space you have to store things.
Here are three great options that have worked well for other people, along with their pros and cons.
1. Plastic Storage Bins
You can find pretty large storage bins, which makes these containers perfect for extensive collections.
One of the best things about them is that the lids lock onto the bins. If they are sealed well, they will keep dirt, dust, water, and even bugs out.
If you’re worried about damage from the sun, choose a container that doesn’t let light in.
You can also store things based on the color of the bin. If you don’t want to do that, keep a clear bin out of the light.
When you use a clear container, you can also see what’s inside without opening it.
Plastic storage bins cost a little more than boxes, but when you think about how much your collection could be worth, they are worth it.
You can save money if you buy them after a big holiday like Christmas when they are usually on sale.
2. Corrugated Boxes
Boxes are the best way to store small to medium-sized collections.
Always begin with a brand-new corrugated box that hasn’t been damaged by water or bugs. T
hey can be stored for a long time without any problems, but you should make sure they aren’t kept in damp, dirty, or infested places.
If you close the cartons properly after packing them, dirt and dust won’t be able to get inside.
If you don’t have any foam or paper, you can separate Funko Pops boxes with corrugated dividers.
Just remember that they can get damaged the same way as the box and take up more space inside.
3. File Folder Boxes
File folder boxes are a simple and easy way to store small collections that change often or things you only need to store temporarily.
They are easy to put together and often have a hinged lid to make them easy to get into.
Most styles also have places to write, making tracking your stored information easier.
File storage boxes are also small and can only hold several collectibles.
About 16 of the regular Funko Pop boxes are the going rate.
They don’t protect as well as corrugated boxes or plastic storage bins because the lid doesn’t make a seal, and the handles on the side can’t keep dirt and dust out.
They are also more expensive than the other two options, so ensure they fit your needs.
Like most things in life, the best results come from taking the time to plan.
You’ve spent much money and time assembling a collection you’re proud of, so we know you’ll do the same with your Funko Pops.
